- 1 cup dry white wine
- 4 sprigs thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp peppercorns
- 5 clove garlic
- 5 tbsp parsley
- 12 cup chicken stock
- 0.25 cup dry sherry
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- 1 French bread
- 6 cup grated Gruyere cheese
