Preparations/Hard Cooked Eggs

A: eggs
1. Place (A) into a saucepan, leaving room between them, and cover with one
    inch of water, and bring to a boil over high heat.
2. Remove pan from heat, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes. While eggs are
    steeping, fill a bowl with one quart of ice water.
3. Transfer eggs to their icy bath with slotted spoon and let bathe for 5
    minutes.
